Flu Vaccination Clinics 2018
Don’t underestimate the risks of flu, if you are eligible for a free NHS vaccination then book with us now, if you are currently pregnant you also become automatically eligible, please click HERE for more information. There are many alternative providers of the vaccine but by attending one of our clinics at the surgery your vaccination will be done in a safe clinical environment by a trained Health Care Professional and we have direct access to your medical record.
We are vaccinating ‘Under 65s’ and ‘Over 65s’ on different dates due to the change in vaccine. For more information on the vaccination programme please click HERE. The sole supplier of the new vaccine has already reported issues affecting delivery this autumn and advised of a later delivery date hence our delay in offering our clinics this year. Please see the following clinic dates that are available.
- Saturday 6th October – morning - Long Stratton Under 65s and Children
- Thursday 18th October – morning – Newton Flotman Under 65s
- Saturday 20th October – morning – Long Stratton Over 65s
- Monday 22nd October – afternoon – Newton Flotman – Children
- Thursday 25th October – morning – Newton Flotman – Over 65s
Our practice is run from two sites, one in Long Stratton and one in the village of Newton Flotman. We provide health care needs to over 11,000 patients who are able to access services from either of these two sites. We aim to provide an excellent standard of care in a friendly, approachable and caring environment.
Our service is provided by a team of 8 doctors (3 male, 5 female) several of whom work part-time For Doctors availability please click HERE. In addition to their work at the surgery the doctors have responsibilities at the local Clinical Commissioning Group, they deliver training to medical students and registrars and are active in Primary Care Research. This would not be possible without the support of our experienced team of nurses, health care assistants, dispensers and administrative staff. Our receptionists provide the first and most important link between the patient and their doctor.

Friends and Family Test
The Friends and Family test has been rolled out by NHS England as a way of gathering your feedback so that we can review the service that we provide on a regular basis. This information is crucial to our practice as we rely on your comments and feedback to help us to continue to provide a service that we can all take pride in.
Please be aware that we may monitor, record, store and use any telephone, email or other communication with you in order to check any instructions given to us, for training purposes, for crime prevention and to improve the quality of our services.
