PATIENT NOTICE - Coronavirus
From the start of the Coronavirus pandemic we have continued to monitor and adapt our practice in line with the changing advice and guidance issued by NHS England and other governing bodies. As the country starts to come out of the lockdown phase we will keep you updated with our “New Normal” within the practice. If you have not already done so please “Like” and follow our Facebook Page as we will always update this with our latest information plus really useful local links.
Patients continue to be triaged by phone or video consultation by our GPs, or face to face if deemed necessary following telephone screening. If you are asked to attend the practice to see a GP or nurse you will be asked to arrive at an allocated time and to stay in your vehicle until we come and get you. Staff will continue to wear full PPE equipment and we would also encourage our patients to wear a face covering when attending for an appointment. Exemptions are made for very young children or those with existing breathing difficulties. Please click HERE for more information
Our nursing team are busy reviewing those patients that are living with long-term conditions and many of you are already receiving calls to discuss your health needs. Some face-to-face appointments continue as normal for example blood tests, cervical screening and immunisations but please answer honestly when asked “how you are feeling today” before you enter the practice for your appointment.
Our Dispensary at Long Stratton continues to dispense by appointment only to limit the amount of patients that are queuing at any one time. We are still delivering to patients aged 70 or over. All we would ask is that you please continue to order your repeat prescriptions in your normal way and at your normal time.
Please remember that social distancing and hand washing are still the most effective ways of protection.
Please Stay Safe.

Our practice is run from two sites, one in Long Stratton and one in the village of Newton Flotman. We provide health care needs to over 11,000 patients who are able to access services from either of these two sites. We aim to provide an excellent standard of care in a friendly, approachable and caring environment.
Our service is provided by a team of 8 doctors (2 male, 5 female) several of whom work part-time, for Doctors availability please click HERE. In addition to their work at the surgery the doctors have responsibilities at the local Clinical Commissioning Group, they deliver training to medical students and registrars and are active in Primary Care Research. This would not be possible without the support of our experienced team of nurses, health care assistants, dispensers and administrative staff. Our receptionists provide the first and most important link between the patient and their doctor.

Friends and Family Test
The Friends and Family test has been rolled out by NHS England as a way of gathering your feedback so that we can review the service that we provide on a regular basis. This information is crucial to our practice as we rely on your comments and feedback to help us to continue to provide a service that we can all take pride in.
Please be aware that we may monitor, record, store and use any telephone, email or other communication with you in order to check any instructions given to us, for training purposes, for crime prevention and to improve the quality of our services.
