We hold a comprehensive stock of medicines for dispensing to those patients who live more than one mile away from the chemist.
If you require certain drugs on a regular basis (repeats) you will be issued with a tear-off slip from your prescription. The next time you need to reorder your medication hand this slip to the Dispensary during working hours or put it through the letterbox if the surgery is closed. You may also post it to the surgery, or fax on 01508 535200.
If you lose your tear-off slip please hand in a written request including your name, address and DOB. Do not worry if you cannot remember the name of your medication just give us a brief description.
We are unable to accept prescription requests over the telephone due to patient safety. Many medications can be hard to pronounce or can sound very similar to others which could result in errors being made.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)
The Electronic Prescription Service is now available at the practice. This means we can now send your repeat prescription electronically to your chosen pharmacy instead of writing out paper prescriptions. You will need to choose a place for us to electronically send your prescription to. This is called a nomination. You can choose a pharmacy near to where you live, work or shop or you can choose a dispensing application contractor (if you use one).
You can find out more information by clicking HERE, or alternatively please discuss this with our Dispensary Team or your Pharmacist.
Has the hospital made a change to your regular medication?
If you have been discharged, or had an out-patient appointment at the hospital, and a change to your regular medication has been recommended, please can we ask you to check with our Dispensary Team, after 2 weeks, to make sure that your medication has been adjusted.
THE SURGERY IS UNABLE TO FULFILL PRESCRIPTIONS FOR THOSE LIVING WITHIN A MILE OF A CHEMIST.
